Possible attacks againts head unit of contemporary cars
I purchased a new car this week. It has multimedia unit (sometimes called head unit of car). It has FM/AM/DAB radio functions (with its radio antenna) ,bluetooth 5.0,Wireless CarPlay – Android Auto, and it has its own GPS antenna for gps signals.
I hesitated about the security of my car. I think that most of cars today have similar head units.
I wonder about what types of attacks can be performed againts my car.
The first thing come to my mind is bluetooth sniffing to capture data with Android auto property.
Secondly GPS spoofing can be done using tools such as HackRF-one.
I heard that some attacks are done using DAB signals such as SQL injection. However, i could not imagine any attack with FM/AM radio, maybe you know...
So, can you please add other possible attacks against the head unit of my car (and other cars have such head units)
