Are proprietary BIOS/UEFI solutions less secure than libre/open frameworks? [closed]
I have been a long-time supporter of the Coreboot Project (especially the Skulls variant).
I am currently in search of a new desktop and wanted to ask if these FLOSS BIOS solutions (such as Coreboot/SeaBios) are actually more secure than UEFI, which I assume is the current predominant BIOS on the market. If so, how do they provide better security for users?
