"Scanning" available USB drivers on a port

For network-based attacks, there are many tools that scan a system for open ports and perform fingerprinting to find out what software is running on the system.

Does something similar exist for USB ports that would detect available drivers? For example, are there hardware tools (like Rubber Ducky) that can detect whether there is a HID keyboard or pointing device driver available or if the port supports USB DFU, CDC, or mass storage?

I'm strictly talking black box, i.e. assuming I don't have access to the system and can examine the installed drivers that way.
