Why macOS allows app to "actively" access the clipboard?

the app on macOS fills the copied text automatically

I have just downloaded a RSS reader app and want to add an new feed into it. What I have done is:

  1. I copied the feed url
  2. Open the RSS reader and click the "Add new feed" button
  3. Surprisingly, the copied url shows automatically in the input box

Now I feel so much concern about this, I ain't mean to target on the RSS reader, it's not a problem of the RSS reader app, but the macOS's.

I'm a crypto user so I'm very concerned about cyber security. What if one day I accidentally copy my mnemonic phrase? Any apps on my macbook can read the phrase then? This is really terrible.

Note I'm a developer and I know that the system clipboard is designed as so, to let different apps to share data, but I think it shouldn't work in this way, the app shouldn't be able to access the clipboard by themselves, but they should only be able to do that after I have pressed "Ctrl + V", isn't it? But now what I'm experiencing is that even without my instruction, the reader app can access the clipboard actively.

(remember on iOS, when you have copied something and switched into another app, there is at least a popup when the app wants to read your clipboard?)

btw, I find nowhere in the macOS Settings that allows me to control which apps have access to my clipboard. It's macOS Sequoia.
