Relative risk of using Google passkeys on public computers
Assume Google passkeys are enabled on an iPhone. A PC's chromium browser enables Google login with passkeys by presenting a QR code (URL) which triggers the iPhone to perform biometric authentication to permit passkey access. I think the passkey never makes it to the public computer (if I am wrong, then please to let me know). I would not want the passkey file to sit on the public computer at any time.
If the Chromium browser (or equivalent browser Edge / Safari etc.) is available on a Public computer (e.g. hotel computer), is the risk the same or less than using a proper password?
Bonus round: What is the term for when the phone performs the authentication for a PC's web browser (e.g. the Chromium browser presents QR URL to prompt the iPhone to perform authentication).
