Is it possible to use commercial anti cheat software for the purpose of protecting commercial Windows software?
Is it possible to use Battleye or other similar software as anti-hacking software (eg anti-memory dump, injection protection, silent phone etc) for non-gaming commercial applications?
Hacking games and commercial applications use very similar techniques. Battleye however has a gigantic budget and seems incredibly robust compared to small teams that work on commercial anti-cracking tools.
I'm not talking about anti piracy, obfuscation or anything like that, simply detecting/protecting against memory injection and the sort of things that cheats do with games (DLL injection specifically).
I am a developer and I am looking for off the shelf protection against DLL injection and other memory exploits (eg memory dumping) which is easy to do from user mode. Anti cheat software generally protects against these types of attacks.
