Is this backup method safe using Macrium Reflect with Veracrypt. Does this method make sure there are no data leaks?

I want to use veracrypt with my main OS hard drive on Windows 10. I just want to make sure if I have to restore the OS hard drive with the partition that there are no data leaks.

This is my process:

So when I want to make a backup. I decrypt the main OS hard drive first with veracrypt. Also, making sure I don't delete files. Then I shut down the computer. Boot Macrium Reflect from USB. Then back up the main OS hard drive with Macrium Reflect as an image inside another encrypted container on a USB. When I go to restore it. I make sure my main OS partition Solid State drive is encrypted. And shut it down.

Then I boot Macrium Reflect from USB. And decrypt the container where my backup image is located from USB. And then when I go to restore it from Macrium Reflect. It will WIPE the encrypted data and restore the image. I'm assuming with this procedure this will prevent data leaks, am I right? I'm assuming when Macirum Reflect WIPES the data, all deleted data and all the data that could be recovered are encrypted files as deleted. Or it also might do this: "It just simply OVERWRITES your disk with the data from a previous backup"

If it WIPES or OVERWRITES data when it restores backup image to main OS hard drive. As long as that data is encrypted on the main OS that it wipes and deletes, I'm safe, and there are no data leaks, right?
